Human Research Protection Program - International and Collaborative Research This session is designed for researchers who plan to projects that extend beyond the University of Tennessee for projects that work in a collaborative research environments with other institutions or plan to recruit international populations as research participants. The speakers will discuss the agreements required for collaborative research taking place across multiple institutions and the requirements to obtain IRB approval for projects that intend to work with international populations. Human Research Protection Program - Introduction to IRB This session will be an overall introduction to the IRB process at UTK. It will cover the basic overall requirements when submitting a new application to the IRB including what the IRB requires in a protocol, creating meaningful consent forms, and requirements for other attachments. This session is designed to provide actionable information for investigators who are new to the University of Tennessee and experienced researchers alike. Requirements for IRB Approval This educational session will cover the regulatory criteria that the IRB uses for approval. This session is designed to provide researchers with a more thorough understanding of the regulatory criteria for approval for exempt research, expedited studies, and studies requiring full board review.
