What is the point of startup and how does it help you get started with your high impact scholarship? This session will discuss how to start using funding at UTK and tie it to your scholarship agenda/trajectory. Additional details will be provided about the length of available funding, how to manage your spending, and the rules you must follow. The sessions will be organized by divisions in the College of Arts and Sciences.

IRB Process: Tips and Guidelines for Successful Submissions

Leaders from UTK’s IRB office will present on the IRB review process and what requires IRB review. Topics include the regulatory criteria for exempt research, expedited studies, and full board review. As a compliance refresher and overview of the IRB process at UTK, this session is ideal for faculty, graduate students, and post-docs.
