The increase in online teaching at UT over the last few years has created new wisdom within our faculty community. Come learn how Digital Learning is building new faculty networks and collaboration spaces, aimed at sharing new ways of teaching and learning in the online modality. These networks engage faculty and staff in robust ways, producing “bottom-up” dialogues that bring online learning and program design to the forefront of conversations across the university, and informs the way Digital Learning continues to build its faculty support infrastructure.

What does it look like to offer an asynchronous online course? We know these courses provide much needed flexibility to students, but we also recognize these courses require an entirely different pedagogical framing than many of us are accustomed. As part of Digital Learning Week, we are opening the doors of our multimedia studio. Opened in late 2022, the multimedia studio hosts a wide range of technologies to support faculty in the development of online course materials, including lecture capture rooms, 360 degree cameras, 3-D scanners, Augmented and Virtual Reality (AR/VR), and more! Come visit the studio while our instructional design, video production, and interactive development teams demonstrate examples while consulting on opportunities for future courses.
