Blackthorn: Foundations I

Blackthorn Foundations I introduces the event management platform, Blackthorn. Users will learn how this product integrates within the Vol 360° enterprise system and be able to apply basic features that streamline processes and contribute to a 360° view of a student. Over the course of training, you will be able to: define basic Blackthorn key terms; understand key features and benefits of the Blackthorn application; review user types and permissions; prepare and use check-in devices for events; learn how to access and use the Check-In mobile application; navigate the attendee user experience; and review scheduled communications sent to attendees.

Blackthorn: Foundations II

Blackthorn Foundations II teaches users how to create, view, and manage events on behalf of themselves or others. In addition, users will learn how to use custom features to increase engagement. Over the course of training, you will be able to: create, view, manage, and edit Events; create, view, manage, and edit Forms; create, view, manage, and edit Codes; create, view, manage, and edit the post event feedback instrument; review best practices for event management, event settings, and waitlisting; and learn about features and improvements scheduled in upcoming releases.

Vol Connect: Appointment Management & Documentation

Vol Connect Appointment Management & Documentation teaches users how to create, view, and manage individual and group appointments on behalf of themselves or others. In addition, users will learn how to create, view, and manage different types of documentation. Over the course of training, you will be able to: synchronize Outlook and Vol Connect calendars; create, view, manage, and edit Appointments; create, view, manage, and edit Appointment Summaries; create, view, manage, and edit Memos; and upload, view, and manage Files.

Vol Connect: Campaigns

Vol Connect Campaigns teaches users how to create, view, and manage Campaigns – a feature of Vol360° that enables faculty or staff to invite a designated group of students to take a specific action, including scheduling an appointment. Over the course of the training, you will be able to:  define Campaigns key terms; learn the different types of Campaigns and their intended use(s); create, view, manage, and edit Campaigns; and review scheduled communications sent to Campaign Members.

Vol Connect Foundations introduces the student success platform: Vol Connect. Users will learn how to apply basic features that streamline processes and contribute to a 360° view of a student. Over the course of training, you will be able to: define basic Vol Connect key terms; navigate Vol Connect and searching for students; learn how to access and navigate the Vol Connect Student Portal; understand the Student Contact and Student Advisee Case Records; review Success Teams, population assignments, and Teams; create, view, manage, and resolve Alerts; and create and view Progress Reports.
