Fall Training 2026: Empower Your Skills with Supported Technologies

This session aims to highlight how faculty can use Canvas Portfolio for teaching, assessment, and student career preparation. Participants will learn how portfolios can support competency-based learning, authentic assessment, and program-level evaluation while providing students with a meaningful way to tell their academic story.

At the end of this workshop, participants will be able to:

• Describe the purpose and benefits of Canvas Portfolios for student learning, reflection, and professional development.
• Create and configure a Canvas Portfolio assignment that allows students to collect and showcase evidence of learning.
• Align portfolio artifacts with course goals using skill and evidence tagging features.
• Evaluate student portfolios using existing SpeedGrader.

Workshop occurs in Eastern Standard Time (EST).
