Responsible Conduct of Research Workshop: Working with Wildlife and the IACUC (VIRTUAL)

Conducting research with wildlife presents challenges that are unique from other projects involving traditional lab animals. This workshop will explore differences in wildlife and traditional research, such as using IACUC protocols in conjunction with state permits, working with state and federal regulations, keeping track of animal numbers, occupational health concerns for students in the field, veterinary support, provisions for AVMA approved methods of euthanasia, and more. The session is open to all researchers and students who may work with wildlife. This will be a hybrid meeting with lunch provided for in-person attendees. Credit towards RCR training will be provided for in-person or virtual attendance.

S This is a researcher focused workshop.
